Ardbeg Distillery, Islay
Ardbeg has nestled itself on Islay's east coast since 1815, but yoyoed between open and closed until it was taken on by the Glenmorangie Plc group in 1997. Even then, until a decade ago, it only produced two whiskies, the Ardbeg 10 and the Uigedail. Now finally back on it's feet and enjoying a huge wave of popularity unheard of for a peaty Islay, Ardbeg is back!
The range consists of 6 core single malts, aged in a mixture of ex-bourbon, sherry and French oak casks from 5 to 25 Years Old.
