

A blend of fruit from the ‘home’ vineyards in Kumeu with their recent acquisition at Rays Road in Hawkes Bay to the south. Hand harvested, fermented with wild yeast with brief maturation in used oak. The wine is gentle, medium bodied with slightly evolved raspberry fruit, cardamon spice and gentle Burgundian tannins. While medium bodied it exhibits layers of complexity that exceed its class. A wine to suit Burgundy lovers rather than devotees of the bigger New World reds.
