Château Fourcas-Dupré and their wines tell a story that began in 13th century when vines appeared at the place called “Fourcas” (as evidenced by the cartographic work of Belleyme, under Louis XV).

“Fourcas Dupré” took its name in 1843, when Master Jean Antoine Dupré became its owner.

Tasting Note: A high-quality blend of attractive tannins and velvety texture. Its deep, dark berried character brings through the balance and elegance of this vintage.

Château Fourcas-Dupré

Located between Moulis and Saint Julien, the Fourcas plateau peaks at 42 m. As a result, the vineyard benefits from good natural drainage: the wind and the proximity of the forest temper climatic excesses for a slow qualitative maturation of the grapes.

The “Pyrenean gravel” - 80% Pyrenean gravel and clay, limestone and clay-limestone subsoils - terroir is unique in the Médoc and gives their wines a very special personality: minerality, complexity, and notes of smoke on the finish and finally a remarkable ability to age.
