Yarra Yering | Yarra Valley, Australia
Yarra Yering has been built on the basis of giving individual vineyard blocks, and grape varietals, the time and attention they deserve.
Although wine was an important industry in the Yarra Valley throughout the 1800s, by the 1920s it had largely halted as farmers moved onto other crops.
It took the vision of the legendary Dr Bailey Carrodus, to help re-establish the Yarra Valley as one of Australia’s pre-eminent wine regions. In 1969 he purchased land at the foot of the Warramate Hills and the vineyards have gone on to be planted with French and Portuguese varietals.
