2018 Guerrieri Rizzardi '3 Cru' Amarone della Valpolicella Classico
Amarone Classico 3CRU is made from hand-picked grapes from our three Cru vineyards of Calcarole, Pojega & Rovereti.
After the grape drying period the wine undergoes a long fermentation followed by three years matured in oak and is normally released in the 4th year following harvest.
Selected by hand from vines that are at least 30 years old, only the more mature and loosely packed bunches of grapes make it into 3 Cru.
The grapes undergo a natural drying process with no temperature or humidity technology. It's still done the old fashioned way in small crates in the old drying rooms of Pojega, for 3-5 months.
