We thought the 80^th Anniversary of D-Day would be the appropriate date to mark 150 years since Sir Winston’s birth and 175 years since the foundation of Pol Roger Champagne, Winston’s favourite.

We meet in the picturesque The Cross Barn, originally built in 1532 and one of the earliest brick buildings in Hampshire.

Within this glorious Tudor setting, we shall enjoy a succession of the great cuvées of Pol Roger, culminating with a glass (60ml) of Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill 2015

We are joined by Martin Heidsieck, 6^th generation of the Pol Roger family and will also enjoy a red Burgundy from the cellars of Joseph Drouhin.

Together we shall celebrate stories of heroism, the great man himself, alongside his favourite Champagne.

Our evening includes:

- Reception with glass of Pol Roger Brut Reserve with introduction to the story of Pol Roger and Sir Winston.
- Tasting: Pol Roger Rosé Vintage 2018, Pol Roger Brut Vintage 2016, Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill 2015, Pol Roger Rich (Demi-Sec), Joseph Drouhin Savigny-les-Beaune Rouge*
- Dinner of salmon canapés and parmesan crisps, Jubilee Chicken with new potatoes and green beans, and a pear and almond tart (subject to possible minor changes).  Vegetarian option available.

We shall create a seating plan so that all members of groups are sitting close to one another.  Please email us with the booking names, so that we can arrange the seating to suit.

*Size of Glasses - after a full glass of Pol Roger Brut Reserve, Champagne, samples will be 60ml (half glass) with the option of a full glass of red Burgundy.  So a total of 500ml per person is guaranteed to be served.  Additional bottles can be purchased on the night.

We appreciate circumstances can change. However, due to previous last-minute cancellations, this event is subject to our policy:

If you cancel at least 5 working days prior to the event, we will reimburse your ticket.

If you cancel less than 5 working days before the event, we will issue a full refund, but only if we are able to resell your ticket at its full value.
