From a tiny vineyard on the Helderberg mountainside on a steep, elevated south-westerly slope which yields a mere 12 hl/ha and a total of 2,000 bottles each year.

Good things often come in small packages though and the up-side here is finely tuned, healthy grapes with excellent balance of concentration and natural acidity.

Yields are so small that the vineyard’s continued viability is questioned after each harvest, hence the name. Fermented and aged for 9 months in 2nd fill French oak, this is classy Chardonnay and must be our best Chardonnay under £20 – while stocks last!
