Conciso is our interpretation of a fine and elegant Dão, a wine that shows all the potential and character of a very old vineyard. This century-old vineyard, planted in granite soil and facing east, on the slopes of Serra da Estrela, has mixed grape varieties where Baga and Jaen are predominant.

Dirk Niepoort, part of the fifth generation, leads the family business, following the retirement of his father, Eduard Rudolph Niepoort. Since his studies in Switzerland, Dirk has been passionate about wine and has brought innovation to the traditional Niepoort brand.

Niepoort strives to maintain its status as a "niche player" by crafting unique ports and Douro wines that blend centuries-old customs with modernity. This combination also encompasses wine from two other regions, the Bairrada and Dão, which have contributed to shaping the Douro - Bairrada - Dão triangle. The newest points in this triangle also "deliver the goods" and hold a significant place for Niepoort, as they possess immense potential by combining the rich heritage of Portugal's winemaking history with the potential for innovation.
