2019 Domaine Daridan Cour Cheverny

£18.95

The super rare Romorantin grape is unique to Cheverny and was introduced in the sixteenth century by King Francis I. A cousin to Chardonnay it resembles a fine Chablis but with textured aromatic notes enhanced by a few months in used French oak barrels. Enjoy a classic white wine that is rare and a little different

Tasting Note: The beautiful complexity of this wine reveals fruity aromas and a perfectly balanced smoothness.

Origin: Cheverny, France

Domaine Daridan

Domaine Daridan (AC Cheverny) is situated between Tours and Orleans just south of the majestic Château de Chambord. The family owned nine hectare estate uses native yeasts and minimal intervention to produce gentle flavoursome, authentic, and interesting wines.

The unique appellation laws permit (or encourage) the blending of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, while the red is a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay.
