2020 Domaine Belleville Santenay 'Les Hâtes'

£42.00

In Old French, a "Hâte" denoted an agricultural unit of 4.28 acres (or one hundred square metres) that was exclusively used in Burgundy.

The terroir is clay-limestone soil. Careful crop management of 35+ year old vines is combined with precise pruning to achieve a harmony between crispness and alcohol.

Tasting Note: Vibrant and sophisticated, this wine carries aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and blackcurrant, complemented by hints of spice. On the palate, the flavours are fruity, mineral and supple, with undertones of cherry, crushed raspberry, and plum, with subtle notes of toasted wood and caramel nuances. The finish is long and lingering.

Origin: Burgundy, France

Alcohol: 13.0%

Blend: Pinot Noir
