This iconic Spanish wine is crafted only in the finest vintages, from select vineyards nestled between 550 and 650 metres above sea level, where Atlantic and continental climates collide to create ideal growing conditions. The vines, trained in traditional bush style and dry-farmed, thrive in the clay soils dotted with river pebbles, producing grapes that capture the essence of this renowned region.

Imperial Gran Reserva is designed to stand the test of time, evolving beautifully with age. The grapes are hand-harvested from these small, carefully tended plots, and go through a double selection process both in the vineyard and at the winery to ensure only the best make it into the bottle.

In 1879, the Real de Asúa brothers arrived in Haro to embark on what would become one of the longest-standing histories in the wine world. A trip initially taken for health reasons led to the creation of Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España (C.V.N.E.) in the iconic Barrio de la Estación railway station.

This marked the birth of a family winery that has grown over five generations. Today, the winery is still run by the same family, producing quality, artisanal and traditional wines.
