Produced from an exceptional selection of wines from the 2018 vintage, this LBV is foot-trodden in granite lagares – an age-old method that enhances the wine’s structure and depth. After aging for four years in large oak barrels, known as 'tonels,' this port was lightly filtered and bottled in May 2022. 

2018 was a tricky vintage, marked by a dry winter followed by a cold, wet spring and early summer. While these conditions brought challenges, skilled vineyard management ensured healthy grapes with lower yields, leading to wines with excellent complexity, structure, and freshness. The harvest, which started later than usual, benefited from perfect weather, resulting in ripe, flavourful fruit.

Tasting Note: On the palate, expect bold, intense aromas of ripe fruits, including fresh plums, raspberries, and a hint of aromatic herbs.
