Château Giscours 2003 is a sun-drenched expression of Margaux, born in a year when nature turned up the heat. A triumph of balance, precision, and power, this vintage showcases the unmistakable allure of one of Bordeaux’s most iconic estates.
The 2003 vintage was shaped by an extraordinary summer heatwave, pushing the team to adapt and begin harvesting earlier than usual to preserve freshness in the grapes. The hand-picked fruit, carefully sorted by both manual and optical selection, underwent a 35-day maceration in concrete and stainless steel tanks at a controlled 28°C. Aged for 12–15 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which were new, the wine developed incredible structure and complexity, while preserving the essence of its terroir.
Pairing Suggestions: Perfect with roast venison, beef Wellington, duck confit, or aged cheeses like Comté and Epoisses. A sublime match for rich, earthy dishes.
