Glencadam 15-Year-Old Reserva de Jerez, 2007 Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish, Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 46%

£99.00

Glencadam Distillery was built in 1825, within the Royal Burgh of Brechin, where heritage, tradition and hand crafting combine to create an elegant East Highland Single Malt.

Glencadam Reserva de Jerez has been specially created by their Master Distiller from carefully selected single malt distilled in 2007 and matured initially in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak casks at Glencadam's historic dunnage warehouse.

The single malt in these casks has been expertly married then finished in finest Oloroso Sherry butts sourced from Jerez, Spain. These Oloroso Sherry butts impart unique flavours which give depth and complexity to this stunning Glencadam Single Malt.

A rich and full flavoured whisky, bottled at 46% with natural colour, non-chill filtered, and a limited release of just 9,420 bottles, each individually numbered.

Tasting Note from the Distillery

NOSE: Rich and pronounced with aromas of praline, roasted nuts, golden syrup and candied peels.

PALATE: Sweet layers of maple pecan Danish, sultanas, milk chocolate and heather honey bound with nutmeg and oak spices.

FINISH: Warming notes of apple strudel and custard tarts fading into a linger of sweet spices and espresso coffee

Glencadam

From the arid plantations on the edge of the Mexican desert, through the rugged glens of the Scottish Highlands, to the undulating vineyards of Cognac in Southwest France, successive generations have been distilling the fermented liquor of agave, barley, grape, cane sugar and other fruits, plants and grains. Enjoyed either immediately – like gin – or after many decades of barrel ageing – like Cognac or whisky. The world of spirits is infinite, fascinating, entertaining, distracting and a giver of great pleasure.
