2022 Skipskop Sangiovese
This classic Italian grape variety has taken brilliantly to the hot, dry and mountainous climate of the Klein Karoo, a long way from its native Tuscany. The wine exhibits cherry fruit and red currant flavours with 12 months barrel ageing to develop an extra layer of complexity as well as allowing the bright tannins time to soften. When the weather warms up this wine works fabulously, lightly chilled.
