2018 Massaya Cap Est
The grapes for this are cultivated with care in the arid and continental environs where Mount Lebanon and the Anti-Lebanon mountain ranges intersect.
Massaya Cap Est is grown on the north-easterly hillsides of the Beqaa Valley at an altitude of 1200 metres in the Ras Baalbeck area.
Only the best grapes are handpicked then vinified at the Tanaïl winery. The vinification takes at least 30 days in temperature controlled oak vats, followed by 22 more months in oak vats before bottling without fining or filtering.
Tasting Note: Pale ruby in colour, with a nose that subtly blends violets and very ripe red berry fruits. On the palate, seductive velvety elegance overlays an attractive weave of fine tannins, highlighting the minerality of the terroir.
