Atop Mafra's undulating landscape, the grapes from this 2022 Quinta de Sant'Ana Branco have been harvested from two vineyards - one basking on the top of a steep hill with subpar soil and abundant sunlight, and the other nestled in a low valley, surrounded by cool, nutrient-rich soil and a little less sunlight.

The grapes were collected by hand in various vineyard passes, ensuring a balance of acidity and freshness in some and abundance of richness and fruit in others.

The Fernão Pires wine was then fermented in austere steel vats at low temperatures of 12/13°C, employing native yeasts, whilst the Arinto vintage was fermented in French oak barrels. The final blend was created after the fermentation process was complete.

Tasting Note: A pale yellow hue introduces an expressive bouquet of aromatic florals and stone fruit, verging on tropical, from the Fernão Pires component. This variety gives a full-bodied texture, while the Arinto offers a balancing acidity and citrus fruit flavour, rounded out by the subtle influence of oak aging.
