2022 was a scorcher with extreme heat and drought, prompting an early start to the harvest. Niepoort kicked off picking on 22 August, racing through September’s rainy spells to ensure top-quality grapes. Sourced from old vineyard blocks, the Baga grapes underwent a 5-week fermentation in stainless steel. Maturation and malolactic fermentation continued in the tanks, resulting in an unfiltered, raw expression of the year’s unique character.

Tasting Note: This Tinto is all about pure Baga fun! Light and bright in the glass, it bursts with aromas of fresh flowers, herbs, and juicy cherries. On the palate, it's crisp, refreshing, and slightly spicy, with a playful zing of acidity and a hint of subtle sweetness.
