The 2023 Janare Pieralta is a striking single-varietal Greco from Campania’s Sannio region, designed to showcase the vibrancy of its hillside terroir. This Greco stands out for its mineral-driven structure and aromatic complexity, combining hints of peach, white pepper, and flint. Harvested from carefully selected vineyards at 120–400 metres altitude, the grapes benefit from cooler nights and optimal sunlight exposure, which preserve acidity and freshness. The wine is entirely fermented in stainless steel at controlled temperatures to maintain pure fruit expression and vibrant aromatics. Its dynamic, embracing palate, balanced acidity, and lingering finish make it a versatile wine for food pairing, entertaining, or gifting.

Winemaking:

The grapes undergo a short cryo-maceration at 8–10°C followed by gentle pressing, then ferment in stainless steel at 12–15°C for approximately 20 days, preserving the wine’s aromatic purity. No malolactic fermentation is carried out, ensuring crispness and freshness. After fermentation, the wine is bottled in April of the year following harvest, allowing it to integrate naturally and retain its lively, fruit-forward character.

Pairing Suggestions:

Perfect with hors d’oeuvres or shellfish; also complements grilled vegetables, white meats, and seafood-based pastas. Works beautifully alongside light Mediterranean vegetarian dishes or a fresh fish carpaccio.
