2023 Quinta de Sant'Ana Rose

£16.95

2023 Quinta de Sant'Ana Rosé is a charming ode to Portuguese terroir. Crafted from Aragonez and Merlot, this organic rosé exudes vibrancy and delicate finesse.

At Quinta de Sant'Ana, vineyards flourish on sunlit, calcareous clay soils in Gradil, Mafra. Their sustainable practices and hands-on care ensure that every grape is a pure expression of Lisbon's unique microclimate, making each vintage a celebration of nature’s bounty.

After careful hand-harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. The must is allowed to settle at 7°C before fermenting in stainless steel tanks at 12-14°C. A five-month ageing period preserves its aromatic intensity and crisp acidity.

Pairing Suggestions: This rosé is ideal with Mediterranean tapas, grilled fish, or a fresh goat cheese salad.

Tasting Note: Salmon pink with fresh strawberry and raspberry aromas, complemented by subtle vanilla and zesty acidity.

Origin: Mafra, Lisbon, Portugal

Alcohol: 13.0%

Quinta de Sant'Ana

Chateau Musar is a revered producer in Lebanon that honours ancient winemaking traditions with a modern, minimal intervention approach.

The Hochar family manages 220 hectares of Musar vineyards, nestled in the sun-drenched Bekaa Valley, with a deep respect for nature, allowing the land to speak for itself.

Having achieved organic certification for its own vineyards in 2006, Chateau Musar continues a legacy that dates back to 1930 when Gaston Hochar planted his first vines after returning from Bordeaux. Today, the estate thrives amid 300 days of sunshine, fresh mountain breezes, and a storied history that blends Phoenician heritage with contemporary winemaking finesse.

With grapes hand-harvested by local Bedouins and ambient yeasts guiding fermentation, the wines are crafted without fining or filtration. This authentic approach, combined with centuries-old traditions and a spirit of innovation, ensures that every bottle reflects the unique character of the Bekaa Valley.
