2015 Cupano Ombrone
Cupano is based upon a stony hill above the Ombrone river with good drainage, high mineral content and a wonderful view.
The estate consists of 35 hectares of organic farming: 6.4ha of vineyard, 2ha of olive oil trees, 18ha of wood, 8ha of arable land.
Hand-harvested in Montalcino, Tuscany (Sant'Antimo). The wine was aged on its lees, in barriques, for at least 18 months, the bottled - without filtration - 2 years after the harvest.
Tasting Note: Cherry, cassis, dark chocolate, and cigar box. Rich, decadent, and wonderfully structured.
