2018 Domaine Chavy Puligny Montrachet 'Les Folatières'
For years Alain and his brother Jean-Louis made wine together at their parents’ estate, Gérard Chavy, but in 2003 they went their separate ways. Alain’s wines are very much in the mould of his father’s: pure, racy and delicate.
Tasting Note: The pure limestone soils of Folatières ensure it is always the stoniest wine in the line-up. This year it is angular, dense and powerful, showing fresh citrus – lime and lemon – and a long bright stony finish.
