Vincent Caille is one of the finest growers in Muscadet and a key figure in the ‘Cru Communeau’ movement, where individual terroirs are recognised by name. He has worked using organic and biodynamic viticulture for over 30 years and produces wines that are both delicious to drink now or that age gloriously.

This wine, selected from fruit grown on both Gniess and Gabbro soils, is fermented and aged in the traditional method ‘sous Nantais’ or underground in flat vats that help lees contact. The vintage produced wines with both concentration and energy making this one those year to drink or age for 5-10 years.

Aged Muscadet can take on huge complexity and would give Chablis 1er Cru a run for its money at twice the price.
