Conciso is our interpretation of a fine and elegant Dão, a wine that shows all the potential and character of a very old vineyard. This century-old vineyard, planted in granite soil and facing east, on the slopes of Serra da Estrela, has mixed grape varieties where Baga and Jaen are predominant.

Savour the 2015 Niepoort Conciso, a rare vintage with a shorter - but perfect - growing season due to early spring precipitation and careful crafting. A limited release, favouring the production of quality over quality, for the refined palate.

Experience the independent family business, passed successfully for five generations from one Niepoort to the next, with older and younger generations working side by side for a long period. We eagerly anticipate the sixth generation, ready for a future of close collaboration.

Dirk Niepoort, part of the fifth generation, leads the family business, following the retirement of his father, Eduard Rudolph Niepoort. Since his studies in Switzerland, Dirk has been passionate about wine and has brought innovation to the traditional Niepoort brand.

Niepoort strives to maintain its status as a "niche player" by crafting unique ports and Douro wines that blend centuries-old customs with modernity. This combination also encompasses wine from two other regions, the Bairrada and Dão, which have contributed to shaping the Douro - Bairrada - Dão triangle. The newest points in this triangle also "deliver the goods" and hold a significant place for Niepoort, as they possess immense potential by combining the rich heritage of Portugal's winemaking history with the potential for innovation.
