2019 Yarra Yering New Territories Shiraz Touriga
Shiraz from the Salamenca block (planted in 1995) and Touriga Naçional from a hillside block (planted in 1990 and 2013) were used to create this Shiraz Touriga. The 'New Territories' was the name given to the land when the 1990 Touriga Naçional vines were planted, which had been reclaimed from the nearby bushland.
Tasting Note: The Shiraz offers an aromatic bouquet and a palate of succulent fruits, while Touriga Naçional brings a balanced yet robust structure with notes of spice. Aromas of violets and anise entice the nose, accompanied by juicy mulberries. The Shiraz-Touriga blend has a fleshy feel and captivating spiciness that is well-integrated with the tannins.
