Crafted from 100% Riesling grapes, this wine hails from a single vineyard near the charming village of Venchan, in the Provadia municipality of the Varna region. The 19-year-old vines flourish between the foothills of Venchansko Kale and the Zlatina River, basking in southeast exposure at an altitude of 90 meters, just 25 miles from the sparkling Black Sea.

The winemaking process at Odessos is meticulous and artisanal. Hand-picked grapes are carefully transported in small boxes to a cold room, where they are manually sorted, crushed, and gently pressed at low pressure. The finest must is cold settled and racked for alcoholic fermentation, maintained at a controlled temperature of 11-15°C. After fermentation, the wine ages for 3 months on fine lees and an additional year in the bottle, allowing its flavours to develop beautifully. Crafted with minimal intervention, this Riesling may feature the appearance of noble lees.

Tasting Note: A pale steel colour with a subtle straw tint. On the nose, it offers an intense bouquet of lime and beeswax, with a hint of petroleum adding complexity. The palate is light to medium-bodied, delivering excellent freshness and a tight, lean profile rich with notes of citrus peel, seeds, flint, and beeswax.
