Crafted from 100% estate-grown Pinot Noir, the “Gravel” Rouge is a regional Bourgogne that punches above its weight, earning praise for it's quality at a brilliant price point.

Winemaking: Hand-picked fruit undergoes 14 days of gentle maceration in open vats, followed by 12 months élevage in French oak barrels (25% new) to marry supple fruit with subtle spice.

Pairing Suggestions: Roast chicken with thyme; boeuf bourguignon; charcuterie board; reblochon or Brie.

Tasting Note: Bright ruby red with cherry, raspberry and lightly toasted spice; smooth, fine tannins and a fresh, persistent finish.

Domaine Catherine et Claude Maréchal

Domaine Catherine et Claude Maréchal was established in 1980 by Claude Maréchal, whose passion for Pinot Noir drove him to cultivate just 12.5 hectares across the renowned Côte de Beaune. Working alongside his wife Catherine, Claude embraced artisanal methods such as short winter pruning, green harvesting, and manual canopy work to ensure perfectly ripe fruit and express the unique marl-limestone soils of their parcels.

In 2022 the reins passed to their sons Antoine and Rémi, who blend tradition with fresh energy. Certified sustainable, the estate uses compost, minimal intervention in the vines and precise cellar craft: 12-month oak ageing for reds, nine months for whites and cuvée vinification for Aligoté, all to reveal the pure elegance of Côte d’Or terroirs.
