2018 Domaine des Tourelles Marquis des Beys
The Bekaa is a mix of both native and classic red varietals brought over in the 19th Century. This Syrah Cabernet blend is an example of how well these varietals perform in the high altitude Bekaa. Clean, fruit driven and intriguing.
Fermentation the wine is blended and then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels (1/3 new, 1/3 first use, 1/3 second use).
Tasting Note: This premium selection from Lebanon exudes style and sophistication, showcasing the remarkable potential of its terroir. Crafted with the finest Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from selected parcels, it offers a captivatingly dark garnet hue and an enticing aroma of brambly fruits and spice. Its sumptuous flavours of blackcurrants and chocolate, along with its firm core, make it a delectably moreish experience. Fine tannins add a freshness that is difficult to resist.
