The Chavy family has been rooted in Puligny-Montrachet for over two centuries, their name synonymous with the finest Chardonnay. In 2003, after inheriting vineyards from their father Gérard, Alain and his brother Jean-Louis charted their own paths. Alain’s Domaine Alain Chavy now spans 10 hectares, with prestigious holdings in Puligny’s Premier Crus including Les Folatières, Les Champs Gain, and Les Pucelles. His meticulous care ensures each plot’s distinctive character is preserved, producing wines that reflect the heart of Puligny.

Beneath the village, Alain’s six-metre-deep cellar is a sanctuary where tradition meets innovation. Here, his wines ferment and mature at a slow, steady pace, developing the elegant minerality and freshness that define his style.
