2022 Tenuta Bocca di Lupo Pietrabianca Chardonnay Fiano
Nestled in Murgia's rugged terrain, Tenuta Bocca di Lupo's organic vineyards thrive on calcareous, nutrient-poor soils. Their premium wines, including Pietrabianca Chardonnay with a hint of Fiano, embody the area's white rock-studded landscape.
Some Chardonnay was aged in oak barrels while the rest, along with Fiano, was fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness. The final blend was then aged in the bottle before being released.
Tasting Note: A brilliant yellow colour with greenish hues. On the nose, it reveals notes of white fruit with hints of cantaloupe melon, orange, and lime, along with delicate floral notes of hawthorn and acacia. The bouquet is completed by vibrant aromas of vanilla and white chocolate. On the palate, it is delicate and never heavy, with good freshness and a vertical profile. The finish is marked by a pleasant minerality, typical of the soil at Tenuta Bocca di Lupo. This wine has a strong identity, expressing itself beautifully now and for years to come.
