2017 Hans Herzog Pinot Noir
500 years of Pinot Noir winegrowing heritage and 50 years of experience coalesce in this remarkable Pinot Noir from Hans Herzog.
This embodies the ultimate expression of Burgundy's flagship varietal.
Its distinct aromatic profile and velvety texture are hallmarks of Hans' craftsmanship, aged for 18 months in fine French oak barrels and bottled for 3+ years prior to release. A vintage to be savored.
Tasting Note: Lusciously ripe raspberries, cherries, Doris plum and black current are enhanced by black pepper. The richly textured wine shows off with a complex structure, but delicate with a savoury acidity. A feminine style of Burgundy’s greatest varietal: refined elegance, defined and extended with an ample finish, highlighting this wines aging potential. A great addition to a Burgundy lover’s cellar.
