Chateau Musar White 2010 is a uniquely expressive wine that challenges convention with its rich, citrus-driven character and distinctive texture. This wine stands apart in style, reminiscent of a ‘dry Sauternes’ or mature white Graves, yet entirely its own.

Produced from ancient, ungrafted vines of Obaideh and Merwah, cultivated on the slopes of Mount Lebanon, this white wine is a testament to centuries-old viticultural traditions. The vineyards, with yields as low as 10–20 hl per hectare, contribute to the wine’s concentrated flavour and exceptional ageing potential.

Fermented partly in French oak barriques from the Nevers forest and partly in stainless steel vats under controlled temperatures, the wine spent nine months maturing before being bottled. Released seven years after the harvest, it has developed a beautifully balanced profile that evolves with time.

With a bright lemon colour and an aromatic nose of pears, thyme, pine resin, and lemongrass, the palate is both oily and zingy—delivering an interplay of citrus, herbs, and a subtle edge of oak. Its complexity makes it ideal for those seeking an adventurous alternative to more ubiquitous whites.
