Massaya | Bekaa Valley, Lebanon
Massaya winery is a testament to resilience and ancient winemaking heritage in Lebanon's Beqaa Valley. Winemaking here dates back to around 7,000 BCE when Phoenicians exported wines across the Mediterranean. Through centuries of political and cultural upheaval, Lebanon’s wine legacy endured—and today, Massaya is a shining example.
Founded by brothers Sami and Ramzi Ghosn, who reclaimed their family’s Beqaa Valley estate after years of civil war, Massaya began with arak production. Their ambition soon extended to winemaking, and with support from French wine legends Dominique Hébrard (Château Cheval Blanc) and the Brunier family (Vieux Télégraphe), Massaya transformed into a world-class winery. Combining ancient heritage with modern expertise, Massaya captures Lebanon’s timeless spirit in every bottle.
