2013 Chateau d'Angludet (Jeroboam)
Château Angludet 2013 offers a taste of Margaux heritage, a Bordeaux estate with deep roots dating back to the twelfth century. Located on the iconic Garonne gravel plateau, this 32-hectare vineyard is a powerhouse of classic Médoc terroir, renowned for producing wines of exceptional elegance, finesse, and aging potential.
Since 1961, it has been lovingly maintained by the Sichel family, with Benjamin Sichel at the helm, ensuring quality through sustainable vineyard practices and a strict focus on low yields to amplify the vineyard’s unique expression.
Matured for 12 months in oak barrels, with a third renewed annually, this wine captures the essence of its terroir, unfolding with refined complexity as it ages.
Tasting Note: The 2013 vintage opens with a striking deep ruby colour and aromas of fresh blackcurrant, redcurrant, and subtle spice. Its structured palate reveals layers of finesse and silky fruit, balanced by smooth tannins that impart a velvety texture, signature depth, and a hint of Margaux minerality. A stellar outcome in a challenging vintage.
