2023 Maison Sichel Selection Margaux
Much of our Bordeaux purchases come through the historic négociant and owner of Ch d’Angludet: Maison Sichel.
One of their great tricks and skills is their private bottlings of ‘declassified’ wine from one of the great Bordeaux Chateaux in their enviable portfolio. They are always sworn to secrecy as to its origins, despite our very best efforts.
Tasting Notes: Margaux is often thought of as the refined and feminine coomune of the Left Bank. This wine doesn't disappoint. perfumed with violets, blackcurrant and a hint of cedar. The palate is perfectly proportioned with polished tannins giving it structure without weight. The use of oak discreet, supporting the fruit without overpowering it.
