2018 Château de Francs Côtes de Francs
This vintage 2018 Château de Francs Côtes de Francs boasts co-ownership by renowned vintners Dominique Hébrard and Hubert de Bouard, owner of Château Angelus. At 27.5 hectares, it proudly stands on one of the highest hillsides of the Gironde in the Côtes de Francs.
The soil is clay-limestone, the vines’ average age is 30 years and the blend is 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
All harvesting is by hand, vinification is in temperature controlled stainless-steel vats and the wines are matured in barrique for 14 months (20% new).
Tasting Note: A good, modern, Claret with a blend of dark fruits, an earthy and savoury edge. Rounded, smooth, elegant.
