2024 Harewood Estate Porogurup Riesling

£19.95

The 2024 Harewood Estate Porongurup Riesling is a pristine expression of Western Australia’s cool-climate magic. Grown in one of Porongurup's oldest vineyards, this Riesling shines with elegance, purity, and a zesty vibrancy that leaves you craving another sip.

Crafted using only the finest “free-run” juice—avoiding harsh pressings—this Riesling enjoys a delicate transformation. A long, cool ferment in stainless steel tanks preserves its finesse, while minimal intervention and screw caps ensure its vibrant flavours and aromatic intensity remain intact. This meticulous process showcases the beauty of the Porongurup subregion in every glass.

Tasting Note: The wine exhibits fine floral and citrus notes enhanced by an underlying flinty vibrancy. An elegant, seamless palate with initial flavours of green apple and grapefruit leading to a crisp mid-palate with an underlying slate character finishing with classic mouth-watering lemons and limes.

Harewood Estate

James Kellie was fortunate to land his dream winemaking job at the renowned Howard Park, in the Great Southern. The plan at that stage was to hone his skills, learn as much as he could and move to Tasmania. In 1998, whilst at Howard Park, James started making wine on contract for Harewood and in 2003 he and his family took the plunge to purchase Harewood Estate. Hard work is paying off; the winery has grown to 500 tonnes and they’ve received 31 national and international Trophies, hundreds of medals and the coveted 5 Red Star Rating from influential wine critic James Halliday which is awarded to the top 5% of Australian wineries for “a consistent record of excellence”.
