2024 Changeon Rosé ‘Les Insoucieux’
‘Changeon’ is the river that was originally diverted for the watermills of Bourgueil to operate and David chose this name as it passes near the domaine and is symbolic of his new direction. There are twelve hectares of vines, with eleven hectares of Cabernet Franc and half a hectare each of Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc.
This rosé is a blend of ‘rosé de presse’, which adds tension, and rosé de saignée, which adds body and aroma. Both components are vinified in stainless steel vats to enhance the qualities of the blend.
Tasting Note: This elegant rosé from the Bourgueil appellation offers enticing aromas of stone fruits, particularly peach. It presents a full-bodied palate, which extends beautifully and achieves an ideal balance of delicacy and freshness.
