Shiraz/Syrah

Syrah, also known as Shiraz, is a robust and dark-skinned grape.

In France’s Rhône Valley, particularly in regions like Hermitage and Côte-Rôtie, Syrah produces powerful yet elegant wines, with flavours of blackberry, black olive, and a hint of peppery spice. Australian Shiraz, especially from the Barossa Valley, is bolder and fruitier, with intense black fruit flavours, chocolate, and a touch of smokiness. In South Africa and Chile, you can expect a balance between Old World and New World styles, with rich fruit, dark chocolate, and earthy undertones.
