Skipskop’s rare 2023 Sangiovese is the only Klein Karoo bottling available in the UK, matured 18 months in 225 L and 500 L oak (2nd/3rd fill).
Ten vintages of warm‑climate ripeness yield a generous summer‑fruit compote framed by gentle, dry tannins and a refreshing night‑breeze lift.
Winemaking: Fermented in stainless steel then aged 18 months in 225 L barriques and 500 L barrels (2nd & 3rd fill) before bottling unfiltered.
Pairing Suggestions: Serve slightly chilled with grilled Mediterranean vegetables, tomato‑based pasta or mild‑flavoured cheeses.
Tasting Note: Bright cherry and strawberry aromas give way to a palate of raspberry compote, dried herb and a fine, savoury tannin finish.
