Flower Pots Goodens Gold Ale

£3.50

Flower Pots Goodens Gold Ale is a multi-award-winning golden ale that marries lightly caramelised malt with British and North American hops to create a refreshing pint with grassy pine and citrus notes.

The process begins with a blend of low-colour malted barley and caramelised grains, followed by hop additions at various boil stages to layer grassy and citrus aromas. After rapid cooling, yeast is pitched for fermentation in stainless steel tanks, then the beer is conditioned in casks to reach optimal carbonation and flavour integration.

Goodens Gold stands out for its lingering bitterness and crisp finish. Its name and recipe celebrate the brewery's rich heritage and award-winning legacy.

Pairing Suggestions: Ideal with goat's cheese tart, grilled chicken skewers, or vegetable tempura.

Tasting Note: Golden colour with notes of grassy pine, citrus zest, and a balanced bitterness that lingers on the palate.

Flower Pots

Nestled at the source of the River Itchen, The Flower Pots Brewery is a celebration of Hampshire’s rich brewing heritage and contemporary craftmanship. Established in 1993 alongside the historic Flower Pots Inn, the on?site brewery thrives under the expertise of brewers Dave, Ash and Miki, whose combined backgrounds in chemistry, culinary arts and lifelong brewing ensure that tradition and innovation flow together in perfect harmony.

Each ale is born from a multi?step process that begins with top?grade malted barley and culminates in casks conditioned just days before hitting the pumps. By repurposing spent grain for cattle feed and reclaiming heat from wort chilling, the brewery minimises waste and maximises flavour. The result is a range of finely balanced cask ales that speak of place, people and unwavering commitment to quality.
