2023 Moorooduc Estate Pinot Gris
Hand harvested, whole bunch pressing and 100% barrel fermented in 3-5 year old French oak with 8 months in wood on lees and 1 racking prior to bottling. Light fining and filtration.
Tasting Note: Pale white gold in colour with a seductive nose of green and yellow pears and buttered digestive biscuits, with a drizzle of honey and a touch of nutmeg spice. On the palate however, the wine is dry, medium bodied with the essence of crunchy green pear fruit. Medium acidity with a round palate texture with spice, burnt honey and toast on the finish.
Pairing Suggestion: Match to a ripe washed-rind cheese and crusty bread.
