Domaine de la Bretonnière is all about innovation in harmony with nature. The estate evolves continually, both in vine management and winemaking, to produce wines that capture the Loire's classic flavour, style, and elegance.
The domaine is run by brothers Patrice and Pierre-Yves Charpentier. Pierre-Yves is the winemaking maestro, while Patrice takes care of sales, admin, and the office. Since they took over the family business in 1989, they've kept their vineyards sustainable, backed by a skilled team.
Their Muscadet Sèvre et Maine is a bone-dry, light-bodied white wine made from the finest Melon de Bourgogne grapes. Originally from Burgundy, this varietal has found its perfect home in the Loire Valley's ideal climate, producing an exquisite and refreshing wine.
Tasting notes: Juicy pears, green apple and lime zest with a subtle richness from the “sur lie” aging. Gentle floral notes lift this wine from the ordinary to something special. A wonderful aperitif or served alongside white fish dishes.
