In 1994, Hans Herzog observed the prime conditions of Marlborough, a region known for its arid sandy and gravelly soils on the right bank of the Wairau River. This unique microclimate, combined with the free draining ground, makes it one of the most desirable areas in New Zealand for the cultivation of late ripening Cabernet, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc.

Tasting Note: Characterised by the aromas of dried flowers, white peach, and a hint of exotic fruits, this Sauvignon Sur Lie offers an exquisite harmony reminiscent of a classic Graves.
