Battered and bruised, a year you had to be brave if you were a grapevine.

During the months of October and November in 2021, the weather was harsh, with a significant rainstorm and cold, windy, and wet conditions. This made for a challenging time for the vines, as the flowering and fruit set were affected. The damage extended beyond just pollination, with young leaves and canopies also experiencing harsh conditions, leading to lateral growth. It was a demanding year that required meticulous care in the vineyard.

Significantly reduced yields and smaller fruit have resulted in a depth Chardonnay, enhanced by an exceptional grape to skin ratio during production. This results in a wine that achieves a perfect harmony and refinement during its maturation in barrels.
