Nestled in the far north of Portugal, the Monção and Melgaço region is guarded by majestic mountains that create a distinct microclimate. This harmonious balance of precipitation, temperature, and sunlight hours is crucial for the optimal ripening of Alvarinho grapes. During this critical stage, there is a delicate interplay of warm days and cool nights, resulting in a perfect blend of vibrant fruity notes and a balanced acidity - precisely what we strive for in our exclusive Soalheiro Alvarinho.

The grapes are harvested by hand. Between pressing and fermentation, the must is clarified at a low temperature. The wine ferments in stainless steel and matures on fine lees before bottling.
