The origin of "Refosco" is lost in the mists of time: from the Romans (red Pucino), to the Middle Ages (Refosco wine), to today (from Refosco grape), it is a varietal historically linked to Friuli.

It is the wine that identifies the Friulian people: frank, direct and, at the same time, a surprising sweetness.

Crafted from a very special parcel of ancient vines on the estate, this highly limited release must be tasted to be believed.

Tasting Note: Intense notes of mulberry, blueberry, cassis and dried plum blend with the sweet and fresh sensations of spices (cloves, black pepper), vanilla and balsamic hints. An exciting and intriguing expression of character and personality. Generous, broad, almost fleshy in its consistency. Fine tannins that are never intrusive or coarse.

The various nuances of the Colli Orientali del Friuli are perfectly represented by the Martagona Moviert range.

These wines display a variety of fragrances and aromas, emblematic of the different terroir on which the vines grow. Martagona embodies all the nuances of the rich and diversified land around them.

The wines are named after 'Martagone', one of the most precious and acclaimed lily species. The name connects them to San Giuseppe, the patron saint of the church that sits atop the hill overlooking the winery. According to the Holy Scriptures, Joseph was chosen as a bridegroom, spotted amongst a crowd, because of the lily in his hand.
