Coche Branco is Niepoort’s most exclusive white, combining high-altitude intensity with the finesse of century-old Rabigato and Arinto vines. It balances richness and freshness for remarkable ageing potential.

Sourced from 80+-year-old vineyards at 600–750m in the Douro’s coolest sites, Coche Branco epitomises Niepoort’s quest for altitude-driven precision. The name “Coche” denotes the vineyard’s old status and unique character. This wine’s greatness lies in marrying old-vine concentration with crisp acidity and layered oak complexity; an iconic Douro white built to age.

Winemaking: Hand-picked fruit is gently pressed, settled for 48 hours, then ferments in French oak barrels (50% new) of 228L and 550L. Partial malolactic conversion and 12 months’ barrel ageing impart both texture and vivacity.

Pairing Suggestions: Grilled sea bass, chicken in creamy sauce, vegetable lasagne or mushroom risotto.

Tasting Note: Honeysuckle and white peach aromas give way to apricot and lemongrass, finishing with saline tension and subtle spice.
