Port Askaig 100 Proof Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Nestled into the north coast of the island, Port Askaig has been the gateway to Islay for hundreds of years. For the Port Askaig range, exceptional casks of Islay malt have been selected and bottled to act as the perfect gateway to Islay whiskies.
Put into bottle at old 100 Proof (57.1%), this is a big, bold dram. Earthy smoke, biltong, lemon peel and coastal heather honey aromas jump out of the glass. The palate has smoky apple, dried spices, a touch of smoky bacon and a sooty style of smoke. Impressive whisky from an undisclosed Islay Distillery.
