No sulphur is used on the grapes, which are fermented with wild yeasts and macerated very softly in large wooden fermenters without using any mechanical tools. Grapes and must are neither heated nor cooled. During the wine’s two years of maturation, only one soutirage is made – for the rest of the time, the wine just matures slowly. After bottling it matures another year in the bottle before releasing.

Tasting Note: An impressive wine, very seductive with fruit, finesse and tempting acidity.

Weingut Dorli Muhr

Dorli Muhr's family had long owned a small parcel of vines in the Ried Roterd, which ultimately inspired her to start her own wine project. In 1995, she began replanting fallow parcels on the Spitzerberg, and in 2002, together with her then-husband Dirk Niepoort, Dorli produced her first wines. Over time, further parcels were acquired, and today the estate covers just over 12 hectares. Dorli’s daughter Anna Niepoort is now also involved in the business.
